Hello!
I’m Katie Turner, a picture book author and illustrator.I was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then followed my creative pursuits to study illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York City. An avid reader and artist from a young age, writing and illustrating picture books combine my two first loves into the perfect job. In my free time, I enjoy searching for vintage tchotchkes, petting dogs, and rewatching my favorite period pieces. I now live in Nashville, Tennessee with my husband and our two crazy chihuahuas.
I love drawing animals, nature scenes, and enchanting creatures like fairies and gnomes in my vibrant, whimsical style. I specialize in children's illustration and dabble in editorial and surface design. I've illustrated books, magazines, greeting cards, stationery, and more.
